Burlington is where Oro Carpentry is based, and it is the city we know best. The housing stock here spans a century — textile-era mill houses near the old plants, brick ranches from the post-war expansion, and newer subdivisions on the edges of town. Each of those eras was framed and trimmed differently, and knowing which you are standing in changes how a job should be approached.

In older Burlington homes we spend real time on matching. Original casing and base profiles are rarely something you can buy off a rack, so we mill to match rather than installing modern stock beside hundred-year-old trim and hoping nobody notices the difference. Plaster walls, out-of-square openings, and settled floors are normal here, and every piece gets scribed to what is actually there.

Newer construction brings a different set of problems — builder-grade trim with open joints, hollow-core doors hung out of plumb, and cabinetry that was installed fast rather than well. Those are straightforward fixes, and they are some of the highest-impact work we do for the money.
