Working in Sanford

Sanford's downtown and the streets around it were built up during the town's years as a brick and railroad center, and a lot of that housing is still standing, solid brick and frame homes from the early and mid-twentieth century with siding and windows that are due for attention after decades of use. Replacing original wood siding and windows on these homes is straightforward work as long as trim depth and profile are matched so the house does not end up looking patched together.

Sanford has grown steadily on the strength of manufacturing investment nearby, and that growth shows up as new subdivisions on the edges of town, which is where most of our fence and deck work here happens. New-build decks in these neighborhoods need the same attention to footing depth and ledger flashing as anywhere else, regardless of how new the house is.

Screened porches are a popular add-on for both older and newer Sanford homes, giving a shaded outdoor space that works through the humid stretch of a Carolina summer without the cost of conditioning a full sunroom.

Households growing out of their current floor plan sometimes look at an addition rather than a move, and we handle those the same way we do anywhere else in our service area, matching the addition's roofline and siding to the existing house so it reads as original rather than tacked on. Sanford is forty-five miles from our Burlington shop, so we schedule work there in full-day blocks.
